Cindy
What you need to know:
Cindy is a flight attendant working on Oceanic Flight 815 and is the only known surviving crew member of the crash. She landed with the tail section survivors and out of the 23 of them, was one of only five to have not been killed or taken by the Others. She confirmed that the plane was flying off course.
Cindy survived the initial attacks of the Others on the Tailies camp. However, she wasn’t as lucky as the Tailies made their way through the jungle with Michael, Sawyer, and Jin. As they climb a steep hill she disappears, and at first it is unknown what became of her. But, as we find out in season 3 episode 9 she is quite alive and doesn't appear at all to be a "captive" of the others, but merely a guest in their presence.

Cindy is seen on the plane chasing Charlie through the aisle when she grows suspicious of his activities in the bathroom. She also had a short conversation with Jack during the flight, and gave him two bottles of alcohol. She was one of the five remaining Tailies when Sawyer, Michael, and Jin landed on the tail section’s beach. As the group hikes through the jungle en route to finding the middle section survivor’s camp, Cindy disappears while the Tailies were moving Sawyer up a steep hill in s2-ep6, “Abandoned”. Ana-Lucia and company believe the Others took her.
Interesting Things to Know:
Cindy is short for Cynthia, which means “woman from Kynthos, moon” in Greek. This was an epithet for the goddess Artemis.
